Well, it sounds like the wording in the document is termed illegal, not the actual marriage itself. Men and women are still allowed to marry each other. They just have to term themselves Party A and Party B.
It is still beyond me that Prop 22 could have even been over-turned in the first place since it was voted into place by "the people." If anyone was unhappy about having marriage being defined in the traditional way, they should have done more publicity and gotten more people to the poles in the first place.
