I'd Like to Introduce you all to my internet friend.
She has recently entered this crazy world of Blogging and I think all my readers would enjoy her wit and charm. In light of this I decided to do my first blogger interview. So, here goes....
What is your name? Kristina
Where do you live? Florida (Isn't she lucky?!)
What do you do for a living? I'm a stay-at-home mom, which was never my intention. However, I'm loving it and wouldn't want it any other way.
What sort of hobbies do you enjoy? Of course, I love writing. I went to school for English, and dreamed of being a professional writer. I also enjoy crochet, which is great since it is fun with a purpose. (a girl after my own crochet-loving heart!)
What gave you the idea for the Mom-tionary? My husband told me about this book called The Meaning of Liff by Douglas Adams and John Lloyd. From what I understand, it's a dictionary that takes the names of specific places and gives them another meaning. I thought, there really should be a dictionary for moms, or parents in general. A few months later, the Mom-tionary was born in all it's polka-dotted splendor.
How do you hope to impact your readers? I really want to entertain. I truly believe many parents will find the Mom-tionary amusing because they can relate, plus, we just don't examine the little joys of parenthood enough, in my opinion. Really, how many adults would look at a bobcat and ask, "Is his name Bob?"
What other writing do you do? I write most of the It Worked 4 Me section of the mom4life.com blog (blog.mom4life.com), sharing tips with other parents. It's a little hobby I enjoy immensely, right along with the Mom-tionary. But unless there is a tip I gleam out of a Mom-tionary story, the two projects don't overlap.
Anything else you'd like to share? My two little monkeys always amaze and entertain me. They've taught me a lot, too. Like...why you don't leave markers unattended. Seriously. Don't do it.
Now that ya'll know a little bit more about her you need to go and read her blog! I promise you will not be disappointed.
So what are you waiting for?? Go. Here. Now.
