I'm becoming quite athletic these days. I love pushing my body and seeing what it can do. That said, I'm embarking on a new adventure which I will chronicle for all of you (C'mon you know you love it!). It's good for me too, I get the whole wide web as my accountability partner!
I am going to do the Couch to 5K program (Known in running circles as C25K). It's a 9-week program. You can go here to read about it. I also joined a running group near here--The White Lake Runners Group. It's a group of 6 mom's who all run and support each other. It's great, I'm looking forward to meeting them face-to-face soon. Maybe I'll actually make some friends here in Muskegon, finally.
So here we go....DAY ONE OF C25K
I did my first run/walk last night. It was hard, but not too hard. I mean it totally kicked my butt, but I didn't collapse in a heap afterward. If you live in North Muskegon you might have seen me, I was the chunky lady in the yellow shirt huffing around the Veteran's Memorial Park at (in? by? around?) the Causeway.
I must say that running in such a public place really makes you try a lot harder. I found myself running faster and pretending to appear as if I was a veteran runner (HA!). I am hoping to find a better place to run, but for now it works. It's really sunny there, so I was super hot even though it was 5 in the evening. Some of you may be wondering why I would drive somewhere to run instead of just running from our house, well I will tell you. I do not feel safe running down Holton Road/M-120. People drive like maniacs down our road and I have this very selfish ambition---I want to know my grandchildren. Call me crazy (or smart?), but I'm not running on Holton Road.
Today my legs aren't too sore, thankfully. I mean they're sore but not so that I can't move or something. My arms however are a different story thanks to my other endevore.
I have two more workouts left for this week. I'll let you know how they go!

Sorry, deleted comment was me.
Anyway, gosh, you've been busy! My exercise lately has been chasing the baby out of the hall, bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen.
